Two provoking comments by Chen Shui-bian yesterday:
1, Taiwan is an independent country that has not been able to exercise full sovereignty just like Japan. He hoped that Japan would undergo further constitutional reform to become a normalized nation. (Read an article on it)
---- I don't think people will agree with this analogy, but it is interesting that he mentions Japan in the context of "independent" "sovereignty." hehe
2, The KMT must change their party emblem otherwise the DPP will change the national emblem. (Read an article on it)
---- It's iiiiiinteresting. I have been wondering when they would change their national flag.
