I remember that when he came to Taiwan and gave a presentation on his language software at a conference, Michi heard a debate over the name people use for the Chinese characters that the Taiwanese use. The most common way of calling it is Fan-ti zi 繁體字 (complicated characters), but it seems some insisted to use other names like 傳統字 (traditional characters) or 正統字 (legitimate characters) or whatever.
I am now in the office, and had to look up something at Taiwan MOFA's website. I just noticed, the MOFA's website says "正體字."
