Studying Korean

I started to learn Korean with my Korean friend, Ja-Yun a week ago. This is the fourth (and a half) step towards my goal of 10 languages :). It is my policy to learn "correct" pronunciation before anything, and I always have to struggle for a while. I remember I was obsessed by English "r" sound for a week when I was 12 , by French "r" for a few weeks when I was 17, and by Chinese "r" for more than a month when I was 22. (Notice it is getting longer.) Everytime I study a new language I re-confirm how tekitou or sui-bian Japanese pronunciation is.

Ja-Yun is very nice; she could point out a suble difference between Japanese "s" sound and Korean "s." I hope I will become more familiar with the characters soon.
