The police announced that they identified the criminal of the 3.19 Incident, in which Chen Shui bian was shot and slightly injured on his stomach on the eve of the Presidential election a year ago. See BBC's article on it.
The guy was being frustrated by Chen's economic policy. After he shot Chen, he confessed it to his wife, wrote 4 letters, and commited a suicide by drowning himself in a river a few days later. His dead body was found in the river, but family did not tell the police about his confession and burned his wills.
